Element Skateboards is excited to announce "Unconcrete," an innovative art exhibition by François Bellabas and Benjamin Roulet that reimagines urban landscapes as spaces for skateboarding. Hosted at the Element boutique at 1 Rue. de Turbigo, 75001 Paris, and the Element pop-up store at 44 Rue du Temple, 75004 Paris, the exhibition will be open to the public from June 20, 2024, and will run throughout the summer. There will be a kickoff event the evening of June 20 at the Rue. de Turbigo location with a discussion from the artists, free drinks and a skate jam on the special obstacle created for "Unconcrete".

François Bellabas and Benjamin Roulet, also known as Gourau Phong have taken a deep dive over the past several years developing their creative process and "Unconcrete" is their latest thought-provoking experience. The Paris-based duo have been creating art together since 2017, blending photography, video, animation, and physical objects to bring their art to life. Through the vehicle of skateboarding, the pair have created an immersive experience that challenges conventional perceptions of art and technology while rethinking urban environments as dynamic, skateable spaces. The installations in our two Paris locations are an extension of their main exhibition in the Lavoir Numérique gallery in Paris. The Paris-based duo have been creating art together since 2017, blending photography, video, animation, and physical objects to bring their art to life.

The installations in the two shops will aim to engage visitors in Paris through the in-store experience designed by the artists and will include unique skateable sculpture created specifically for the exhibition. The artists realized the sculpture through their unique process using 3D scans, 3D rendering and augmented reality to then build it by hand. The sculpture will be available to rent and skate for free all summer at the Element shops.

Additionally, exclusive limited edition "Unconcrete" skate decks and t-shirts will be available in the two shops and to MyElement members online. Anyone can register to become a MyElement member, where you can earn rewards points for and have access to exclusive collections like "Unconcrete".
